Anyone that knows me knows that my obsession with sweets is more so an addiction. Thus, I thought it’d be cool to make ice cream with two of my favorite healthy things these days: Matcha powder and kale.
I came across this super simple recipe and modified it to make it kale-centric. Give it a try!
INGREDIENTS:
14-once can of sweetened condensed milk
two cups of heavy cream
1/2 cup of chopped kale
1 tablespoon of matcha powder
1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS:
Open can of condensed milk and pour it into a large bowl.
In a separate bowl, whip two cups of heavy cream until it gets stiff (I don't have a mixer so I did it by hand)
*Note: I wasn't paying attention at the grocery and bought whipping cream. It still worked.
Add vanilla and kale to cream.
Fold the cream into the milk until they're combined, then pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container.
Pop the container into the freezer, and 12 hours later, Voilà!
